Recruitment Leaders to Follow

Back to Media Hub

Where do you start?

Perhaps like me after a few years at a large firm you think you know it all? I can’t believe how wrong I was.

I have spent the last 6 years on the Recruiter Startup Podcast speaking to and learning from Recruitment advisors, practitioners, and some of the most successful names in Agency Recruitment.

If you are looking to establish your own recruitment company or want to learn from experienced professionals in the field, then these are the top people I’d recommend following:

Toby Babb - Harrington Starr – High Growth

Toby is an award-winning CEO of an international Recruitment Agency.

He likes to look from outside the industry for inspiration and then digs into his deep well of experience and applies it to agency Recruitment. This is evident in the way his own company have embraced the digital revolution in Recruitment but not forgetting the basic principle of spending time getting to know your candidates and clients on the phone and in person.

Joe Mullings - The Mullings Group – Boutique

Joe Mullings runs a successful boutique Staffing firm in Florida and he’s quickly becoming the Grant Cardone of the Staffing world. His clients are multi-billion-dollar companies, as well as emerging startup companies that are bringing to market emerging technologies like surgical robotics, tele-robotics, artificial intelligence and deep learning. He is also President & CEO of Dragonfly Stories, which is the production company behind the video docuseries “TrueFuture” of which he is the host.

He is also the founder of TMGPulse, a MedTech news and opinion website.

Joe has deep industry knowledge and is always sharing his thoughts on market predictions and trending topics. Almost ¼ of his team are digital media and marketing specialists whose sole purpose is to help his Recruiters get more calls with the right candidates and clients.

Barry Cullen -  recLAW– Legal Services

Barry is the Recruiters lawyer. If you have any problems with fee disputes, internal employment contracts, backdoor hires, etc. then he is your man.

Forget what you will learn just make sure he is representing you and not the other guy. I have been on both sides of the coin, and I know which one I’d opt for given the choice.

He kindly came on my podcast and discussed everything you need to know about setting up a Recruitment business from a legal standpoint.

Rich Rosen - Cornerstone Search Associates – Independent Recruiter

Rich is one of the top performing independent Recruiters in America (he is a million dollar biller) and has been consistently recognised by the Pinnacle society for his achievements.

He’s not a big content producer but he is the silent star of the Recruiting Animal Podcast and the best contributor I have seen on the Recruiter Online Facebook. You should only follow him if you want to learn how to bill a million dollars a year….

Michael Kelemen -  & Jerry Albright - Recruiters Online - Facebook

I’m not sure who the boy wonders out of these two caped crusaders but I’m leaning towards Michael Kelemen or Animal as he is known. They both run the Recruiters Online Facebook Group and host the Recruiting Animal which is great if you can see past all the shouting.

Michael & Jerry both have an amazing network of Recruiters and I tend to find a lot of my American guests from following them.

That Michael knows more than he lets on and has mastered the art of letting other people shine in both his group and radio show and that Jerry walks around his kitchen calling bullshit to Recruitment bluffers globally. In all seriousness, he and Jerry both give back a lot to the Recruiting community and their community of Recruiters is very helpful.
